The top is a square platform, ideal for displaying decorative items, such as sculptures, vases, or plants. The central column is cylindrical and features a spiral design that wraps around it, adding both texture and visual interest.
The base of the pedestal features an urn-shaped foliate ornament design of acanthus leaves then narrows before widening again at the hexagonal foot. The warm, creamy beige alabaster features soft veining and subtle color variations. The design is inspired by classical architecture; the spiral column and detailed base are Greco-Roman influenced. The piece is reinforced with a steel rod which runs the height of the piece, securing all alabaster components firmly in place. Retains early 20th century Italy decal. See less
