A wonderful French art deco flush mount in nickel-plated bronze or solid brass. The gorgeous mount holds a globe in clear frosted molded-pressed glass. The lamp is made by Célestin Jamain. A Paris based producer and seller of art deco lighting during the interbellum. Jamain also made a small version of this flush mount for which he used 15 cm wide Sonover balls. See my other listings for a pair of those.
The larger version here on offer holds a globe in clear frosted molded-pressed glass which is unsigned. And it is unknown which glass factory produced this model. It also exists with an acid signed signature of Cherrier et Besnus. Those were made on special order for the lighting firm of E. Cherrier.
The flush mount has a height of 28,2 cm (11,1 inches) and the globe has a diameter of 25,4 cm (10"). It is in excellent condition. I have re-nickeled and patinated the mount. And the fixture is rewired with an American standard socket.
