- This marvelous Royal Worcester set of bisque porcelain cream colored puffed shaped biscuit jar, lid and underplate are created in … more This marvelous Royal Worcester set of bisque porcelain cream colored puffed shaped biscuit jar, lid and underplate are created in a gorgeous chinoiserie style, similar to Satsuma embossing with hand painted floral sprays in yellow, blue, peach, light olive green. There is elaborate gold gilt surrounding all edges. Backstamp indicts made in 1888 and reads: "4W om a circle, topped with a crown, Letter C in the center with 51 and various artists' hand-painted marks. Each piece has the same backstamp. Measurements for this fabulous creation are: Jar height from top to bottom with lid=7-1/2 inches, Width at widest, side to side=7 inches, Underplate diameter 7-1/4 inches. This marvelous Royal Worcester biscuit jar, lid and underplate have been well cared for, gently used and are in excellent antique condition, free from chips, cracks, losses or other imperfections. All gold gilt is intact with a few, slight rubbing losses on the handle and rim of the lid, commensurate with age and use. Please review photos for additional information.
