Mid-Century original bentwood beech Prague Armchairs model 811 designed in the 1920's by Austrian architect's Josef Frank and Josef Hoffman for Thonet. Thonet led a revolution in furniture making, inventing a method for bending wood to create super-strong, lightweight chairs. Crafted in the original Thonet factoy. It combines a solid beech wood frame with a tight yet flexible cane seat and back in rounded square shapes that feel spacious and supportive. The finish is natural, the caning is newly done. In good vintage conditon, visible and minimal ware from usage + age. Made in Czechoslovakia.
