This is a Absolutely Beautiful and Very Fine Quality Vintage Mid 20th Century Sterling Silver and Hand Cut Crystal Cocktail - Martini Pitcher. It is Marked STERLING and Signed by the Maker - "Hawkes". Note that The Lower Panel Below the Handle also Acid Etched with the Documented T.G Hawkes Company of Corning New York Logo. It is Rendered in a Classic Retro Art Deco Style. The Thick - Very Heavy Full Lead Crystal Body is Completely Hand Made - Hand Blown with a Separately Applied Handel that Would Have Been Attached when the Crystal was in a Molten State. It Has Bold - Deep All Hand Cut & Polished Decorated Features with Wonderful Attention to Detail. The Top Rim - Spout is Substantially Made out of Solid Sterling Silver. It is in Very Nice Cosmetic and Perfectly Usable Condition - Displays Beautifully. The Silver Top is a Lightly Tarnished.
The Cut Crystal Features have a Wonderful Clear Color & Sparkle in the Light - It is Much Prettier in Life than my Photographs can Capture.
THIS PIECE MUST BE HAND WASHED IN WARM WATER ONLY.
DO NOT PUT IN A AUTOMATIC DISHWASHER AT THE RISK OF DAMAGE - EXTREME HEAT COULD CAUSE INTERNAL CRACKS TO THE CRYSTAL.
