This is a large vintage Oriental blanket chest which dates to the mid 20th century.
Made of elm it is … more This is a large vintage Oriental blanket chest which dates to the mid 20th century.
Made of elm it is quite substantial and spacious and could serve a variety of purposes in any home. It is ideal for use as blanket box or perhaps for storing clothes, a nice alternative to a traditional chest of drawers.
The chest is rectangular with a deep lift up lid which opens to reveal a clean and spacious interior.
The lid is fitted with a typically styled Chinese brass latch.
The wood has a waxed finish which is fairly matt.
CONDITION
This piece is in solid structural condition with minor cosmetic marks of age and use, mainly to the top which has some shallow marks and scratches here and there.
