A striking six plate set with platter French Faience Oyster Plates made by the French pottery workshop of Saint Jean de Bretagne in western France, circa 1950s. Signed and printed by maker on the back of each piece. This vibrant set boasts a color palette of green and dark brownish black on a cream background. The plates feature six shell shaped wells for oysters with a center well for sauces or lemons. The platter consist of twelve oyster wells also with a center condiment well. Each oyster well and central area are hand painted in a beautiful green shade with the plates and platter all trimmed and accented with a dark brownish black. An impressive and stunning set for a collection or entertaining.
