This is a breathtaking signed Maison Krieger sideboard of monumental scale and with fantastic elements. The piece includes numerous inlaid satinwood motif and fine dore' gold bronze and a wonderful slab of white, purple and burgundy marble. The case is adorned with curio sides which allow you to display your Sevres porcelain or beautiful china to add to your vitrine which is already displaying your complete collection. The condition is very good for its age and has minimal signs of age and use but of course, will show some signs of use. Just very minimal.
The piece measures 96.75 wide x 41.25 tall x 25.75 deep. This is a phenomenal sideboard and a majestic and incredibly beautiful statement piece.
Maison Krieger was founded by Antoine and Nicolas Krieger in Paris in 1826. Producing and taking part in major exhibitions of the 19th century, including the Exposition Universelle and the 1849 Exposition des Produits de l’Industrie in Paris. Receiving a medal for their exhibition at the Universal Exhibitions of 1851 in London, and again in 1855, Paris. Maison Krieger created many pieces in Louis XV and Louis XVI styles, as well as 18th century and Empire designs. Maison Krieger is recorded to have been an active client of François Linke. less
