Handsome German Art Deco sterling silver cigar case for the table. Wonderful etched detail, cedar wood lined. Adjustable inner compartments. It has a German colored copper engraving mounted on the top entitled "Residenzschloss sr. K.H.DBS PR. Friederich Preussen/Zu Dusseldorf" -- "View of the residential palace Sr. KH of Prince Friedrich of Prussia in Düsseldorf (Jägerhof Palace)." The engraving was published in 1835.
The box is marked "Sterling 925 JF" for German Silversmith Franz Johann Jr. (Schwäbisch Gmünd). The number "10" is engraved on the opposite side. The bottom of the box is walnut. At
