Headboard scene has the lovers rowing their boat … more Queen 4 Poster Pendant Canopy Bed Frame with raised and flat chinoiserie.
Headboard scene has the lovers rowing their boat on the center surrounded with weeping willows and a pagoda on an island, with the lake water lapping on top of the shore.
The four posts have raised chinoiserie with insects of dragonflies and foliage.
Foot board has all the classical scenes from the period of chinoiserie.
The cross hatching rolls over to the side rails with plenty of art work to be seen with lush and lively movement.
The pendant on top is in two parts. The canopy's underside has a flowing sky scene with butterflies and dragonflies, happily at ease as they live their life in the bee loved glade.
The color is Lamp Black with a glaze of Van Dyke Brown and Raw Umber.
The polish is of garnet shellac and with the method of French polish and hand rubbed Kipper wax. less
