Equestrian style, with the quintessential racehorse trainer. A dashing figure strides purposefully from the jockey's weighing-in room, to the horses' saddling boxes. A glimpse of a stirrup reveals a race saddle safely tucked under his right arm, along with a pair of binoculars.
They say you can tell a lot about a man by the shoes he wears - and his just caught my attention. Determined, astute and no-nonsense with a touch of flamboyance .. that'd be my guess.
Shot at the Knavesmire, York Racecourse.
This photograph was selected by Longines and The Aga Khan Studs and exhibited as part of their Thoroughbred Racing group exhibition, presented for the Prix de Diane at Les Grandes Écuries at the Château de Chantilly.
