This early 1900's Chifferobe, American made Armoire, features a warm Medium-Dark two-tone Walnut finish with double doors, shelves on one side and hanger or hanging clothes hung on the other for the perfect Closet, Armoire, or Linen Storage.
This piece was found at the home of a family member in West Toledo. Inside, a long forgotten newspaper piece clings to the shelf imprinted with a stunning “Bring Him Back Alive" still partially legible. On the front, a cheating child's tik tack toe game scraped in to the finish, is exposed in the right light, calling the imagination to envision the lives that this chifferobe has served, and the history it’s witnessed….. You won’t find any of that in a box of wood grain stickered, ready to assemble pressed board down at your local box-store! less
