Elegant and unique, these large mother of pearl lamps are by Jamie Young Co. They came out of the famed Hotel Del Coronado (Some Like it Hot was filmed there) that has currently undergone a renovation. I believe they were custom-made and made to last. They have a dimmer switch, double bulbs, and a shell base that is rock solid. They are in very good vintage condition with one having a barely noticeable chip at the base shown in the last photograph. Both undersides are protected by fabric and marked "Made in India".
