Both lamps work nicely. The gorgeous lampshades are made of a gold linen fabric. They show some signs of age, as seen in the photos. They could be turned to hide imperfections (since they are square). On one, there is what looks like an oil mark, which can be turned to the back. On another, there is a very small hole (hard to see) at the edge of the top, as detailed.
