He … more This large and illuminated mid-century wall mirror by Mathieu Matégot speaks the formal language of his most successful pieces. He made these using the Rigitulle technique, which he patented from 1952, out of raw metal and perforated sheets. with its size of: Height: 84.03 cm (33.08 in) Width: 51.11 cm (20.12 in) Depth: 6.99 cm (2.75 in), it is a truly extraordinary design classic from the 60s, which skilfully accentuates any furnishing style.
The condition of the frame is very good. Time has not left its mark on the mirror surface, although the light from the background lighting (4 bulbs E14 socket) shines through the aged areas in a very pleasant and unique way. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
