It dates to 1904. It came from a French Beaux-Arts portfolio of 4 volumes of "Encyclopedie de la Plante", an “artistique” and “documentaire” collection of botanical plates. This photograph showcases details and intricacies of the lilac blossom and its foliage. It has wonderful light and dark variations of shades within the photograph. The photographic skills are very evident and makes the image unique and RARE. The image is in excellent antique condition. 11.5 x 15 inches in size.
