This exquisite set of three hand-colored botanical engravings from the 18th century features medicinal plants, beautifully matted and framed for immediate display.

Two of the engravings, showcasing Round Sorrel and Black Horehound, are sourced from La Botanique by Nicolas François Regnault and his wife, Geneviève de Nangis Regnault, first published between 1770 and 1780.

The central piece, numbered 1004, depicts various species of Verbena and Veronica, originating from Phytanthoza Iconographia by German apothecary and botanist Johann Wilhelm Weinmann, who first published this four-volume botanical series between 1736-45.
