We are delighted to have acquired and to put forward this cabinet for the consideration of collectors throughout the country. Antique oak office furniture remains in high demand particularly at a time when more people are working from home. We have struggled to continually replace premium oak office furniture, yet we welcome the challenge as it makes acquisitions such as this wonderful cabinet all the more satisfying. This cabinet has a lateral eight drawer format and features a rare pull out writing surface which retracts into the center of the cabinet. The entire cabinet is designed with raised panel construction which makes this example more appealing to look at and considerably higher in quality compared to most other antique cabinets. Overall, the cabinet is in wonderful condition with our only condition note being an indentation to the front edge of the top. A rich and desirable color has developed as the cabinet has aged resulting in a wonderful surface which can only be created through the natural progression of time. Every drawer is constructed with machine cut dovetails and fitted with an individual lock with only the lock of the lowest drawer being absent from the case. This antique oak cabinet measures 15 1/4" wide x 22" deep x 55 1/4" tall. The pull out writing tab measures 11 1/4" wide x 15 1/2" deep x 34 3/4" tall off the ground. less
