HISTORY

John Hutton designed the stackable Anziano chair in 1989 for the American Academy of Rome, reinterpreting the silhouette of ancient Greek klismos chairs using a contemporary design language. The chair was introduced in 1991 into the Donghia line, quickly becoming an icon of American industrial design. See less
