Description: This one is a beauty! Simple - yet bold, plain but sexy and built to last more than a lifetime. … more This one is a beauty! Simple - yet bold, plain but sexy and built to last more than a lifetime. Designed by the creator of the 1939 World's Fair "Futurama" Exhibit. His designs ranged from Art Deco to Industrial, Machine & Space Age. Most of his furniture, built by Simmons, consisted of dressers, nightstands & desks. This cabinet is by Hamilton- well known for Dental & Doctor's cabinets. The base, with a backsplash galley, seems to be more widely available.
Original finish with light wear. It's difficult for me to determine a color with confidence. I believe it's silvery finish reflects other colors... The base is 33" H, 17" D, and 28.25" W. There is a 9"H space between upper & base. The drawers are super clean and operate as if they were new. Same for the glass doors. The right door has a spring catch and a smooth working lock with 2 original keys. The Keys are etched P318. The left door has a pinch latch that automatically locks when closed. Lower doors have small tension plates that assure the doors remain open or closed All of the hardware, catches, bumpers are high quality and useful. less
