Rare items! Magnificent pair of Nautical brass lanterns dating from the 1920s, used at the time to indicate right and left on a boat (port and starboard) with a red light and a blue light. Italian manufacturer's stamp on each lantern, Bottaro Giovanni Mura di Molo Genova.
Each lantern was lit by an oil lamp which can be accessed through a small door on the back. On the back we can also see that the lanterns must have been hung on a farmhouse or pillar.
Two handles allow you to carry the lanterns.
Very good quality and in very good condition.
