Incredible ceramic work. The elephant's back is sculpted with a pearl motif.
Slight accident on one tusk. Possibility of acquiring a smaller elephant (mother and calf) to create a beautiful ensemble. Beautiful brown patina with copper highlights, bronze aspect.

Dominique POUCHAIN is a French artist born in 1956.
He began his apprenticeship in his parents' workshop, Jacques and Rolande POUCHAIN, in 1973.
His mother is a decorator, and his father a ceramist and painter.
In 1977, he registered with the Chambre des Métiers as a craftsman and began producing utilitarian pottery.
His first animal sculptures soon followed.
His bestiary is filled with goats, bulls, unicorns, African and fantastical animals.
Humanity, poetry, gentleness and humor are the nature of the emotions reflected in everyday life by these "horned beasts", in clay or bronze.
For several years, Dominique POUCHAIN's work has been successfully exhibited in numerous French and European galleries (London, Switzerland, Belgium, Denmark\.).
