Beautiful bronze statue of a German shepherd on a marble base (broken at one corner) by Georges Lucien Guyot, a well-known French animal artist (1885-1972).
A familiar figure in Montmartre, Georges Guyot was a guest at the Bateau-Lavoir from the time of Cubism. In 1931, he joined the Groupe des Douze, created by François Pompon and Jane Poupelet, a group of renowned sculptors.
