Designed … Read more Model nr 14 is without a doubt the most famous and most sold chair in the history of furniture. Designed in 1859 by Michael Thonet, it is considered the first true example of industrial design. Consisting of only six pieces of steam bent solid beech wood, the chair is so minimal and elegant, it still looks contemporary today. This is a very old original. Underneath the seat it is marked with the second Thonet paper label and the embossing stamp in a small milled area, which dates its production between ca 1869 and 1881. This piece has an attribution mark,
