This oil on cardboard was produced in the 30s by Bundy or Burdy, but we have been unable to identify the artist.
It's a fine work done with a typical 30's knife, very geometric.
The young girl has a softly lit face, she's carrying a turtle, and behind can be seen a harbor that can surely be identified. You'll notice the boats at the quayside, and the dynamic colors created with different lighting effects. You'll also notice the signature at top left.
We have not cleaned the work, which is sold untouched. There is some cracking in places, and rubbing visible on the photos, but it remains largely presentable.
