Exceptional meissen porcelain genre group: family group dressed in rococo style playing house music: the mother with a decorated updo … more Exceptional meissen porcelain genre group: family group dressed in rococo style playing house music: the mother with a decorated updo in a flowered dress sitting at the piano, the children, girl and boy also finely dressed, holding music sheets in their hands, standing in front of the piano and waiting for the song to begin, to the left of them the father in the blue frock coat, violin and bow in right hand, raising the left hand to give the start. The group is based on an irregularly curved base with rocaille decoration and feet, as well as gold heightening. Particularly lovingly, detailed design and staffage. Designed by joseph von kramer (1841 - 1908) attended the art school in nuremberg with august von kreling and from 1860 studied painting and sculpture at the academy of fine arts in munich with franz widmann. Later he was a teacher at the carving school in partenkirche and a professor in munich. His most famous work is the hygieia fountain in the inner courtyard of hamburg city hall. Kramer designed model t 186 circa 1903.
