A very fine pair of Edwardian opera glasses made from Mother of Pearl and the polished brass; made by the creme de la creme of makers, LeMaire of Paris.
Both Mother of Pearl eye pieces are engraved and inked with the signature of this eminent maker together with the famous Napoleonic bee trade mark. The underside of the frame is also engraved "Made In France".
This pair comes with a (new) velvet pouch.
Excellent working order; fine quality and condition, dating to c.1910. Closed, they measure 3 3/4" x 1 5/8" x 2 1/4".
