This clock was made in Burnley, England by William Wain.

The case was made from mahogany wood with intricate inlay throughout- much like the Chippendale style.

The clock has an 8 day time/strike movement with a scrolling moon phase dial.

In addition to the hour and minute hands, the dial has a smaller inner dial for the seconds, and a lower scrolling calendar dial.

The dial itself is a piece of art on its own. The dial has detailed hand painted Orientalist scenes, with horses, tigers, and elephants.
