A 1st Edition, Easton Press Collector's volume, it has a lovely gold design on the front cover, and a gilt-decorated hubbed spine. The 180-page book, published on special archival paper, is gilted on all edges. The end pages are pale peach silk moire. The frontis illustration of Hawthorne was commissioned and created by Richard Loehle. W.A. Dwiggins, the book designer, illustrated in maroon wood block prints. A pale peach silk ribbon book marker is attached. This book is in like-new condition, as if never-read. It is clean, bright and unmarked.
