Don Joint (b. 1956) is an interdisciplinary artist and curator. Mr. Joint lives and works between New York City and London. His training includes Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) and Chautauqua Institute. He works in ekphrasis, and describes his work thus: “my challenge is to create works of art inspired by classical themes and compositions, and thereby create a new expression that relates to current contemporary culture.” His works can be found in the Baltimore Museum of Art, The Cleveland Museum of Art, and the Akron Art Museum , among other museums and institutions. This untitled work created in 2022 is graphite and pastel on heavy-weight paper with deckled edges, tacked down.
