It depicts an impressionist landscape of trees amongst a verdant meadow. Chizmarik was born in Hungary in 1898, but emigrated to the United States at an early age. He eventually settled in Michigan and was a well-known artist in the Detroit area. He is well-listed with numerous auction records exceeding $1,200. The painting is framed in a shadowbox style metal frame. It is a really stunning piece by a sought-after master.

Condition: Good overall condition. Painting shows cracquelure throughout, along with moderate dimpling at middle left, and a few instances of minor paint loss. Frame is in good condition, showing minor scuffing.
