Statue representing a hornbill from the Senoufo ethnic group, from the north of Ivory Coast.
The hornbill is a mystical bird of the Senufo creation. Just seeing it would bring happiness and prosperity. It is extremely present in Senufo culture, whether in sacred groves, or more simply at
the entrance to certain courtyards or homes, as a sign of hospitality.
