Abstract fanned biomorphic … more Vintage Abstract Postmodern Oak Sculpture on Copper Base, Signed (1979). Abstract postmodern wood sculpture on copper base. Abstract fanned biomorphic object made from strips of stained oak wood. The piece has a cubist feel to it with a sense of movement that is reminiscent of early Duchamp. The tag along the side of the piece ‘Diana, the Huntress 1979”. Signed along the edge ‘B. Ault’. Most likely a relative of George Ault the cubist/surrealist artist from the 1920-30s. In good condition with wear consistent with age. The tip of the point of the left side is unattached to the copper. This does not affect the stability nor the integrity of the piece, just something to mention.
