We introduce to you a remarkable pair of handcrafted vintage chairs reflecting the elegant and meticulous craftsmanship of the late 1800s to early 1900s. Unlike mass-produced furniture, these chairs were carefully sculpted and assembled by skilled artisans of the time, each detail shaped with purpose and very subtle personal touch. The chairs appear to be in the Federal, Empire or possibly Regency design style, with a beautiful bow tie or ribbon motif on the gently curved back splat. The solid wood frame, likely mahogany, features smooth, square, tapered & splayed legs that lend an understated grace.
These pieces are not just functional; they are heirlooms that bring character and a sense of heritage into any interior space. In our contemporary setting, they stand as a testament to authenticity and quality—a perfect fit for anyone who values craftsmanship over mass production. These could complete or expand your existing set of chairs, they could be added to a mix of chairs styles for an eclectic flare or used in your study, blending seamlessly into a modern aesthetic while offering a unique contrast to today’s often uniform, factory-made furniture.
Both chairs have their original manufacturer's tag, but are illegible due to the aging and staining of the paper. We could make out the number 55 in the 'Pattern No.' and "walnut in the 'finish'. less
