However, it shows beautifully as it is. There are 2 tiny indentations in the sky that go through the canvas behind the stretcher bars as shown in a close-up. I don't find this off putting. The frame has some damage, separation at the corners and some chips. Bottom right corner has a little piece missing. All in all. beautiful condition for its 138 years. less

The detailing is charming. One is immediately drawn in. The small size allows for many display options.
This piece comes framed but can also be hung out of its frame, a look I use often.
