Beautiful Original Green and Blue Ceramic and Opaline Lamp designed by Marianne and John Propst for Modeline California in 1970.
with absolutely stunning high finish glaze ceramic in an abstract ‘onion bulb’ shape this sleek modernist lamp exhibits the finest craftsmanship. Featuring a simple brass base and sweeping top this understated metal frames the exquisite ceramic art of the lamp.
The shade of the lamp is an original mid century modern opaline shade, an influence clearly derived from the Deco Period; its simple white form sets off the busy intricate patterns displayed so broadly in the ceramic stem.

Very good condition, completely re-wired with historical brass fittings, the ceramic is excellent in condition no chips no scratches no sun-damage, the brass has some visible ageing, the opaline is excellent no chips, please refer to pics.
