Midcentury modern Chinese export six-panel lacquered coromandel screen depicting a walled courtyard with pagoda buildings and figures engaged in leisurely activities. The lacquered panels feature incised wood with natural pigments in matte colors. The screen appears to be a fragment or part of a larger screen. Each panel has scholar's objects and flower vases on the bottom and is supported by square legs ending with patinated brass clad feet. Good condition with an aged patina on the lacquer finish.
