This caviar bowl's rare and one-of-a-kind horn structure exudes incomparable grandeur. Its hand-made flying saucer shape brings modernity and design to this classic serving piece. The Almas caviar bowl has become a timeless icon since its original launch 40 years ago by ARCA in Italy. The set includes a beautiful tiny spoon made of bovine horn (corno Italiano). This rare and inert material is ideal for conserving the qualities and purity of caviar while also making it easier to portion the right amounts. The set includes a transparent fine crystal bowl, which is great for presenting and serving the caviar.
The chiller set appears in perfect condition and has not been used before.
Measurements:
Overall: 9.07 in diameter (23 cm) x 2.75 in high (7 cm).
The small caviar bowl insert is 3.94 in diameter (10 cm) x 2.38 in high (6 cm). The spoon is 5.94 in long (15 cm).
Note:
In 1958 Mario Guerra, a young artisan fascinated by natural materials and intricate craftsmanship, decided to set up a workshop in Recanati, a small Italian town rich in culture and ancient traditions. He founded A.R.C.A. Artigiana Recanatese Corno e Affini, a company that specializes in processing Zebu horn and molding it into one-of-a-kind items.
The first creations included an extensive selection of cutlery, tableware, jewelry, and personal care accessories. With just the hands and the help of fire and a few tools, the horn is shaped into timeless objects and reveals its veins that are always different by nature. Horn shades are combined with other precious materials selected with obsessive care to obtain exclusive pieces that make our daily gestures unique.
In the early 2000s, the company started collaborating with designers and embraced a new path focused on complementary furniture production.
