Base has frenchy looking moustached cut outs all around. 4 fanned etched arch supports too. Two turned etched legs also. The base and legs of piece are red oak. The top is cherry wood framed by oak. So the desk is truly a fancy pants Victorian era desk probably 135 years old. less
