In good condition except for some pencil marks and traces of sealing wax on the back and some diffused foxings. Hand-signed and dated on the lower right margin. Passepartout included (49 x 34 cm). The artwork represents the scenery of the roman landscape in pencil and watercolor on brown paper. The artwork is depicted skillfully through confident and soft strokes with well-balanced composition. Jan Peeter Verdussen (1700-1763) was a Flemish painter, draftsman and printmaker. He is known mainly for his battle scenes, incidents of camp life and equestrian paintings. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
