‘Gwen Doppler was born in Chicago, Illinois to the late Wilbur and Evelyn Kent. Gwen attended UCLA and then the University of Illinois where she graduated in 1949 with a degree in Art. Gwen taught art to elementary students in both Chicago and Cincinnati after graduation from college.
Gwen was passionate about art and was an avid painter all of her life. The Doppler home was filled with Gwen’s vibrant paintings as well as the work of other artists. Gwen also loved gardening and creating colorful silk flower arrangements.’
