Set of 10 Danish oak dining chairs attributed to Henning Kjærnulf made in the 1960's. The set is combined from two separate sets of chairs (6+4) that we think compliment each other well and makes for an even more interesting design expression. Very typical of Kjærnulf.'s designs as he was known for combining the midcentury style with more brutalist rustic designs taking inspirations from medieval and Viking era decorations. Hand carved in solid oak. Original striped upholstery still in clean usable condition. The chairs with wooden back needs to get reupholstered and it would make sense to reupholster all ten chairs in the same fabric to make them more of a matching set. Overall very good condition.
Please note: The chairs do not have a makers mark which is typical of this period. less
