Alberto Burri (Città di Castello, 12 March 1915 – Nice, 15 February 1995) is an Italian painter, among the most important of the twentieth century. with his technique he anticipated movements such as poor art and new realism, through the use of new and avant-garde materials such as tar, iron, mould, wood, earth and glue for the creation of his material paintings.
