This minimalist abstract lithograph is made by Dan Van Severen. This lithograph is signed and dated 1975. Dan Van Severen (Lokeren, 8 February 1927 – Ghent, 15 February 2009) was a Belgian painter. Van Severen was a representative of abstract painting. His abstract art was built on simple geometric motifs: square, rectangle, diamond, circle and oval. His drawings sometimes consisted of a single line. from the combination of square and rectangle he later distilled the cross shape, the universal sign, that was the ultimate key of all his compositions.
