Dated at approximately 1860-1900 with butler wheels in the front for tipping the chair forward and allowing a lady to sit. They were recently re-sprung with firm seating and the original horse hair stuffing. These are large, heavy substantial pieces and are hand carved. The finish is beautifully worn in the arms and some flaws in the finish. that may be restored but not recommended. These chairs are in great shape and show their age with dignity. There is typical sun fading in the cognac velvet upholstery to the seat backs.
Chairs are priced accordingly with room for restoration or affordability. less
