Vintage; C.1930's-50's, French Napoleonic-Style, Demi-Lune Fronted, hand-painted secretary, with Marie Antoinette painted figural characters, musical instruments and floral details throughout, … Read more Vintage; C.1930's-50's, French Napoleonic-Style, Demi-Lune Fronted, hand-painted secretary, with Marie Antoinette painted figural characters, musical instruments and floral details throughout, to the front, top and side facades. Hand-painted in a color combination of French Blue and Celadon green with gilt gold details. Glass top included, as one can see inset atop the Demi-lune area top.
There are 2 upper small drawers, and 2 lower smaller doors, one of which is missing a knob door pull, as well as to the central small tambour slide door, has a brass knob handle missing as well. Also lower half has 2 Larger drawers and a pull-out flat, writing secretary. The surprise is a French hand-painted coral pink coloration to the interiors, synonymous to French styling.
There are 6 central vertical and 1 horizontal cubby/letter holders, while the side doors have 2 shelves upon which to store private pieces. Brass pulls knobs to top portion, while lower Drawers have round brass handles. The entire piece is supported with solidly strong, stilted, tapered legs. There was a key We don't know as of yet, as to the ability to find, Clients and/or receivership will have an answer shortly on this key element, especially with old Antiques provenance.

Clients sourced Antiques for 4 Homes throughout Europe, Asia, and America, whereupon this piece was purchased via an Atlanta Antique shop, with pieces all sourced from Europe, depending upon the Home, and its interior eclectic design mantra. Condition is good, there are 2 brass knobs missing, and the top secretary area has had it's more than usual use, but the Current owners and clients, do not and did not like to purchase anything new, rather antique with all it's use/nicks, and overall weathered wear. The tambour slide door needs to be oiled to make it open easier, otherwise a good antique piece.
