This Helen Frankenthaler rare vintage 1998 Abstract Expressionist extra large custom framed fine art silkscreen serigraph print " Sesame " 1970, is an incredibly special and unique piece to add to your collection.
The Abstract Expressionist fine art print is published by Acte III, Italy, printed in 1998 in an unnumbered limited edition. It features an artwork image originally created by Frankenthaler in 1970 titled " Sesame ", copyright 1998 H. Frankenthaler.
Helen Frankenthaler ( 1928 - 2011 ) is an American Abstract Expressionist painter of a liberal Jewish background, and is a major contributor to the history of Postwar Modernist Painting. She exhibited her work for over six decades, spanning several generations of Abstract painters while continuing to produce vital and ever changing new art works.
Her work has been the subject of several retrospective exhibitions including The Museum of Modern Art New York, The Whitney Museum, The Jewish Museum, and The Los Angeles County Museum of Art. She has been exhibited worldwide since the 1950's, and was awarded The National Medal of the Arts in 2001. Artworks by Frankenthaler are included in the collections of many of the world's most prestigious museums.
The rare out of print Abstract Expressionist extra large format framed fine art print measures 32 1/2" W X 44 1/2" H X 1 1/2" D. It is printed in Italian Tintoretto 250G archival premium heavyweight paper stock with vibrant ink colors with an eggshell finish.
It is custom framed with UV protective plexiglass in a Contemporary Modern bleached white oak wood satin eggshell finish museum box style frame molding, with an attached hanging wire on the reverse back side for easy wall installation.
It is in excellent " like new " condition. The print is in excellent " like new " very clean condition with very light signs of handling. It is brand newly custom framed and has never been displayed.
