A very rare and beautiful early Pine Painted Decorated Dower Chest, circa 1787. This dower chest is a very early example Made even more exceptional by the existence of original paint on the top, sides and front of the chest. Has painted turtles and fish on the top of the chest with flowers on the front and sides. It has colors of green, red, black and yellow/cream.
