These two deer were not an original pair, but they look awfully good together. The larger deer stands over two feet tall (27.5”) and is nearly 3 feet long! This larger deer exhibits beautiful craftsmanship throughout with whimsically modeled fur, antlers, and facial features. Notice the ornament and texture around the horns. The body as decorative elements at the hips and shoulders. The brass finish is a brilliant true gold color. The smaller deer is actually a planter! Lift the saddle to reveal a cavity. This is the perfect vessel for a succulent arrangement. Otherwise opt to keep the planter area capped and enjoy the deer purely for it's sculptural appeal. The smaller deer is not the same exact color as the larger deer. The smaller deer has a slightly muted (not as yellow) brass color. Both deer have a touch of patina with the smaller showing some verdigris on it's back.
