This is one painting from a series inspired by a client commission.

The vintage mid century wood frame is a lovely finishing touch for this magnificent painting. It's old, has some imperfections and age related wear.

The Renaissance period, Classicism and Cubism are primary references for my work. I always begin in the representational and let the work evolve into the abstract or remain representational. Although divergent in process, my work at its core remains connected to the inspirations from which they were conceived. The subject matter whether portraiture, figurative, still life or landscape are important. And yet, the true subject and passion always lies in balance, symmetry, structure, shapes and spacial relationships.
